Position Purpose: The Senior Contracts Administrator will prepare, review, and administer contractual proposals relating to projects. You will be the subject matter expert on all contract administration functions within the project life cycle. You will develop the audit standards process for contract organization including the maintenance of contract files and the contract preparation process. You will audit files and processes in the field for compliance of standards. In addition, you will act as the point of contact in the field for all contract administrators. You will train, coach and mentor contract administrators.

Pay Range: $87,000-$117,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation, review, negotiation and administration of complex, multi- phased sales contractual instruments.
  • The following are some typical responsibilities for this role, Analysis and negotiations of terms and conditions of contracts
  • Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Interprets and ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other applicable regulations.
  • Reviews contracts and agreements for product export, liability and risk, intellectual property, compliance with applicable laws, regulations and BCT policies
  • Reviews contracts and agreements for product performance, quality, and delivery requirements, and flows those details to the cognizant project manager, mission assurance manager, and production manager
  • Performs in-depth price/cost analysis using several variables and methods to determine the reasonableness of proposed pricing
  • Serves as the liaison with outside agencies, other funding sources, as well as the internal management, corporate attorneys, and other BCT personnel
  • Works closely with accounting, program management, and other personnel to resolve issues related to contract provisions
  • May include personnel management responsibilities
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Required Qualifications/Education:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Business Administration or a related discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related
  • Strong working knowledge and experience administering government contracts/ subcontracts with FAR/DFAR regulations
  • Extensive experience directly managing various contract (Fixed, T&M, Cost Reimbursable, etc.) types
  • A Team Player with the ability to manage the dynamics of competing priorities
  • Excellent organization, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent Proof-reading and communication skills
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education


Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
