Purpose: The Manufacturing Product Lead will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing of sub-components and spacecraft as they enter the manufacturing facility. Manufacturing Product Leads will be responsible for ensuring the components or products are ready to be manufactured in the BCT factory. Manufacturing Product Leads will facilitate the movement of hardware as it moves through the various work centers at BCT to ensure material is delivered on time for AI&T at the component or spacecraft level.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the production of high precision hardware through an ERP/MRP driven factory.
  • Facilitate and host manufacturing reviews to ensure products are ready to enter manufacturing.
  • Become the product lead for the ERP system on the manufacturing side and provide key input to the other group participants of the BCT ERP system.
  • Develop and manage processes and tools that enable visibility into schedule and project performance across BCT MicroSats.
  • Develop and manage processes and tools for relaying key information to the product groups so status, schedule and priority are clear across the three product groups.
  • Take ownership of the scheduling system to improve its usefulness as a tool to prioritize across the entire manufacturing floor.
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing Product Leads to ensure proper priorities are being inputted into the schedule.
  • Be an owner of continuous development of processes across the 4 manufacturing areas in the BCT Manufacturing and Test group (Planning, Test, Supply Chain and Technicians) as it applies to using the ERP system.
  • Work closely with the functional managers of the BCT Manufacturing and Test group to develop new tools and processes that improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in the manufacturing of high precision devices
  • Experience in the aerospace industry desired but not required
  • Experience in program planning, production planning and material management
  • Experience with an ERP system and the understanding of the underlying principals
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize across multiple concurrent programs
  • Ability to look at large sets of data and to make informed decisions
  • Ability to generate reports that facilitate communication
  • Ability to make quick decisions that apply to the manufacturing process to streamline production



Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in engineering or a related technical field
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education


Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
