Title: Materials & Process Engineer 

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $75,000 - $92,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Location: Lafayette, CO

Position Purpose: As a Materials & Process Engineer you will apply material engineering principles to support design and development projects across the Blue Canyon product line. Material and Process (M&P) tasks include: 1) interface with cross functional teams regarding technical issues concerning raw materials, parts fabrication, and/or review of manufacturing plans; 2) participate in proper selection of materials and processes for parts and products; 4) participate in non-conformance disposition and corrective action processes; 5) present data to both technical and non-technical audiences


Job Responsibilities:

  • Select Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) on in the design phase across all BCT product lines.
  • Perform Materials and Processes (M&P) technical engineering assignments
  • Development of Materials and Process selection and implementation plans
  • Generation of Material Usage Agreements (MUAs) & Material Identification Usage List (MIULs)
  • Support of materials test planning, analysis, and evaluation
  • Support development of procurement requirements of materials
  • Oversee the prohibited materials planning and detection efforts
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.


Required Qualifications/Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.).
  • Candidate must have 3+ years of experience directly applicable to the aerospace materials and processes discipline.

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filling cabinets and fax machines.
