Position Purpose: The Component Application Engineer II will be working in a team environment, with frequent opportunities for customer engagement, new business development, concept design, mission formulation, system analysis, and detailed design.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $85,000 – 125,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Select BCT component or suites of components to meet customer requirements
  • Develop understanding of the capabilities provided by BCT’s extensive commercial product portfolio
  • Meet with potential customers to understand their needs
  • Respond to customer questions, ROMs, RFIs, RFQs
  • Interact with engineering, manufacturing, test, and business development disciplines regularly
  • Attend conferences and coordinate with Marketing


Required Qualifications/Education:

  • Experience with all phases of the program life-cycle (business development, mission formulation, requirements flow-down, manufacturing, integration and test, and on-orbit operations)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Engineering, System, Computer science, or Business discipline
  • Good documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to develop procurement documents (specification, SOW)
  • Work closely with other contractors/teammates in meeting customer and business needs
  • Collaborate closely with technical program leads across diverse domain expertise
  • Ensure all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations as well as company policies and directives
  • Demonstrated ability to grow new business opportunities and seek out new market opportunities
  • Ability to work rapidly with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large teams


Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
