Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $47,900 - $74,000

Location: Lafayette, CO

Position Purpose: The IT Support Specialist II is a second-level support role with the primary responsibility of providing technical support to customers along with operational and administrative support for IT functions in the assigned office(s). The assigned person will actively participate in maintaining and improving the timeliness and quality of IS support provided to all customer constituencies within assigned office(s). Under direct supervision, the IT Support Specialist II ensures that office computers, printers, scanners, telephones, and other computer or telephone-related devices are productively deployed and used.  Assists service desk personnel and with troubleshooting and operational maintenance of desktop systems.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Answering first-line helpdesk calls and responding to emails and ticket requests for service for all office locations.
  • Provides a variety of project tasks requires good communication skills with the ability to work with users diplomatically and skillfully
  • Managing hardware or software problems
  • Handle Tier 1 help desk escalations through tickets or phone
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
  • Perform work independently and with limited supervision
  • Maintain the operational availability of all computer-related equipment and IT resources including PCs, printers, laptops, smartphones, servers, data communication equipment, network infrastructure, and audio-visual systems
  • Deploy computer, smartphones, and related equipment in a timely fashion to meet the day-to-day operational requirements
  • Provide technical support and assistance outside of normal business hours as required
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize work efficiently, multitasking is a must
  • Maintain and adhere to Company-wide and departmental policies, standards, operational guidelines, and administrative procedures relating to IS function
  • Participate as an active team member on IT projects to which assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications/Education:

  • 3-5 years of desktop and technical support experience
  • High School diploma with some additional training in a technical field
  • Experience providing support in a Windows 10 environment
  • Experience providing support of Microsoft Outlook, Office 365
  • Familiarity with computer hardware, accessories, printers, and communications equipment
  • Physically able to move equipment
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and team skills


Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
