Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a Public Relations Specialist  to join our growing team. This PR Specialist will commit him/herself to developing a deep understanding of Blue Canyon’s products, processes, and policies. Reporting to the BCT Senior Marketing and PR lead, the specialist will collaborate across various product lines and functions to achieve business objectives.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $65,000 -$80,000 

Location: Lafayette, CO

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the production of external content for a variety of platforms and channels, including but not limited to, feature articles, key messages, news releases, speeches and executive presentations
  • Supporting the execution of marketing and advertising plans
  • Supporting the development and delivery of effective, consistent messaging via internal platforms, e-mail, print and in-person communications
  • Collaborating with the team on multi-disciplined communication efforts to include branding, public relations, digital and social media, and employee communications

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in brand journalism, communications or similar
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the development and execution of strategic communications programs
  • Confident self-starter with positive energy who thrives in a collaborative work environment and is committed to continuous improvement
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; strong command of English grammar
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities, while driving tasks to completion
  • Experience working independently and as part of a larger cross-functional team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Exposure to project management and/or business process principles
  • Strong creative skills
  • Marketing communications experience
  • Trade show or event marketing
  • Knowledge of the Aerospace and Defense industry

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, advertising, public relations or related field.

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
