Blue Canyon Technologies is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer - Spacecraft Test to join our team. This engineer will engage in the Test engineering discipline to design electronics to support AI&T.

 

Title: Electrical Engineer - Spacecraft Test

Position Type: Full Time-Exempt

Pay Range: $70,000 - $125,000

Location: Lafayette, CO / Boulder, CO

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Apply innovative design techniques to a variety of analog, digital and mixed signal applications.
  • Write concise design documentation that clearly describes design and implementation while following BCT process.
  • Initiative to identify and complete tasks with evolving requirements and minimal direction.
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment on a variety of R&D, proof of concept, and production programs.
  • Test and troubleshoot/debug your own or other’s designs in a laboratory environment being cognizant of the test instruments required to efficiently determine electronic functionality.
  • Schematic capture and board layout knowledge of signal and power integrity.
  • Thorough understanding of design for test and methodologies confirming compliance to requirements.
  • Ability to perform circuit simulation using Spice or variants.
  • You may be required to provide support through all project phases including concept development, requirements generation and analysis, Preliminary Design, Critical Design, Production Readiness, Test Readiness, Design Qualification, Requirements Verification, Production, Formal Acceptance, Delivery, Installation and Product Support.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree or higher in Engineering and 2 or more years electronics design experience.
  • Knowledge of analog-to-digital, digital-to-analog conversion, data acquisition techniques, FPGA knowledge and understanding of HDL, motor/actuator control and battery management.
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer (Nexus).
  • Design of GSE/STE to test PWA or larger assemblies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
