Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Vibration Test Engineer to join our growing team.

Title: Vibration Test Engineer II

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $84,000 - $115,000

Location: Lafayette and Boulder, CO

Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently run tests at our Vibration Facilities in Boulder, CO and Lafayette, CO
  • Responsible for running the tests from program provided procedures as a Test Operator
  • Perform the following functions for Vibe tests:  Test Conductor, Technician (Flight hardware handling/mounting hardware to vibe plates), and Crane Operator.  Collaborates with Test Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Systems Engineers, Program Managers, Customers, Technicians, Safety Engineer, etc. as required.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience handling flight hardware.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 3 years of experience as a Vibration Test Operator.
  • Sound mechanical assembly skills for mounting flight hardware to vibe fixtures and vibration configuration setup work
  • Knowledge of Vibration Control Systems (VCS) / (Experience with the M+P International VCS a plus)
  • Experience with response limiting / force limiting / moment limiting
  • Knowledge of data acquisition
  • Experience with equipment calibration management
  • Experience rotating shaker systems independently
  • Experience with troubleshooting equipment problems
  • Experience with shaker/amplifier maintenance repair desirable
  • Experience in crane operations
  • Ability to obtain a TS SCI security clearance desirable (Current TS SCI clearance is a plus)
  • The ability to work as a team player with Test Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Responsible Engineers/Test Conductors, QA, System Engineers and Technicians
  • Ability to determine test requirements based on existing facility capabilities.
  • Experience reviewing vibe plate drawings and vibe procedures
  • Willingness to perform other duties as necessary

Working conditions:

This job operates in both a test lab and professional office locations.  Clean room work will be required.
