Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a talented and enthusiastic SQL Report Developer/Database Manager to join our growing team. As a Database Developer, you will apply your analytical skills in several areas including database development for data collections, database development in support of internal applications, client and internal support, and automated software testing. You will be part of the IT department and reporting to the Director of Technology while working very closely with the Director of Finance and COO to develop and create complex reports from our ERP System.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure highest possible quality and integrity of BCT Data; recommend and implement ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
  • Develop and maintain database stored procedures, views and functions for BCT applications both customers facing and internal
  • Maintain database packages, procedures, views, metadata systems and related internal tools
  • Performance tune PL/SQL stored procedures and packages
  • Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems
  • Contribute to technical departmental standards in such areas as change control, configuration management, development methodology, and coding standards
  • Support customers with data or support issues

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  •  Strong communication, interpersonal, influence, collaboration and leadership skills
  • Understanding and adaptability to new or changing situations, requirements, or priorities; works effectively with varied persons and/or groups
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of SQL experience
  • 8+ years of SharePoint development experience
  • Experience with PL/SQL collections, bulk load techniques, built in analytic functions, and partitioning. Strong experience in report writing and data collection
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell Scripting, VBA, .NET, MS Access, Crystal Reports
  • Passionate about tuning SQL for exceptional performance
  • Some python and shell scripting preferred
  • Perform application automation process and custom installation packages for major roll out of new apps or upgrades

Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
