Blue Canyon Technologies is looking for an RF Test Engineer with expertise in RF design and test. This engineer would be working in a team environment, sometimes with remote team members, engaging in test and support of flight spacecraft electronics. Development work will span test procedure development, writing automated test scripts, test equipment design, and executing tests using aerospace standard approaches.


Qualifications:


  • Experience performing tests using RF test equipment.
  • Experience configuring and calibrating RF test equipment
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, etc.
  • Experience with writing and executing test procedures.
  • Ability to work closely with engineering teams to assess RF Performance Requirements and derive corresponding Test and Verification Plans
  • Experience with programming languages including Matlab, Ruby, and/or Python or similar.
  • Experience with waveforms and command/data handling formats such as CCSDS and DVB-S2. 
  • Experience with standard RF modulation/demodulation systems a plus – RT Logic, Amergint, GNU Radio, or similar. 
  • Experience testing RF systems including threshold tests, doppler correction, BER, fading, etc.
  • Ability to work independently with some direction and to be a self-starter.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.


Required Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or similar
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience. Salary commensurate with experience, with excellent benefits.


Working Conditions:


This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
