Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a talented and enthusiastic PCB Designer to help our team design innovative solutions for the next generation cubesat and microsat systems. In this role you will engage in the engineering and production teams to design the best PCBs for each project.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in a team environment providing layout and documentation support for Aerospace/RF/Mil-Spec and commercial PCB designs.
  • Tasks include schematic capture along with component placement, trace routing and documentation.
  • Interface with Electrical Engineers, Mechanical and Thermal Analists, PWB Fabrication and Manufacturing suppliers.
  • Maintaining Part libraries.
  • Establish effective working relationships within Blue Canyon to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • May be required to perform other PCB design related duties as necessary.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Altium Designer, Altium Nexus, and collaborative PCB Design with managed projects a plus.
  • Experience with library part creation and library maintenance.
  • Experience with Rigid, flex and rigid-flex PCBs
  • Proficient with MS Office tools.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD and IPC specifications.
  • Knowledge of GD&T is beneficial.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with signal integrity issues, current carrying capabilities, blind and buried via, imbedded passives, microvia and HDI requirements.

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of related experience, or a two-year technical degree with 8 or more years of experience is required. Each higher-level related degree, may substitute for two years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of PCB design experience utilizing Altium ECAD software.
