Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Engineer with 4+ years of experience. 

Position Purpose:

This position offers the opportunity for work on the highest-performing and most capable small spacecraft GN&C systems in the world.  An engineer in this role has full GN&C subsystem responsibility for multiple space missions, including all program phases from new business development through on-orbit operations.  Development of new and improved GN&C capabilities, features, and infrastructure are also important aspects of this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, test, and deploy GN&C subsystems for small spacecraft ranging from CubeSat (10 cm square) to ESPA-class (24 x 28 x 38 inches), deployed in LEO, GEO, lunar, deep space, and other orbits
  • Develop new GN&C technologies to support customer needs and BCT strategic goals
  • Support continued evolution of GN&C processes and tools/infrastructure
  • Participate in all mission phases including new business development, design reviews, software and hardware-level test, on-orbit commissioning and operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in spacecraft GN&C
  • Must be able to accomplish challenging individual efforts in a fast-paced interdisciplinary team environment, where rapid product development and deployment is the norm
  • Extensive experience with MATLAB/Simulink is required 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an engineering discipline with focus on systems and control

Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filling cabinets and fax machines.
